Atlanta Falcons moving forward...

So are the Falcons really as good as their current record? They may be better than their record but I do not see them making the playoffs this year or even getting to 500. There are a number of issues, first and foremost is their schedule. I just do not see enough wins on it..

New Orleans 2-3-0 138 130

They are currently in 3rd place (due to H-to-H tiebreaker with Tampa) and have not played the current last place team yet. That said they are light years ahead of where most people thought they would be at this point in the season. The new Front Office made some good choices with the draft and changing the environment. The new HC has things going in the right direction and overall, do you feel more confident about the Falcons future or the the Browns or Bengals? (yeah, I said it :) )

They will not make the playoffs this year, since both NFC Wild Card teams will come from the NFC East, but with a year of growth with this team and a strong offseason, they are poised to be a contender within the next couple of years. Did you see that coming after the Vick fiasco, Petrino quitting on the team, and Parcells turning them down last offseason? I didn't..
